The President Invites Families of Injured Military Soldiers to the White House
Former President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the loved ones of a Guard member killed last week to attend the executive mansion.
He noted that he contacted her family and they were “devastated”.

US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a shooting on Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in grave state.
Memorials across the state have been held in their honor.
White House Offer
The president said he’s proposed a White House visit for the loved ones of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump addressed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”
Public Support
Community members assembled over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of Trump’s national effort to support law enforcement in DC.
Remembering the Soldier
“She was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She behaved with inner fortitude, a contagious smile and a optimistic attitude that inspired people around her,” Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, told the press. “She was caring, caring and always willing to assist people.”
Service arrangements for Sarah are in the process of planning.
Legal Actions and Government Adjustments
Authorities have charged a 29-year-old suspect with one count of homicide and charges of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.
The event prompted the administration to halt refugee claims and cease providing visas to possessors of travel documents.
Condition of Wolfe
Andrew Wolfe, a resident of the city, enlisted in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of his local high school, according to the news agency.
He remains under medical supervision and is “battling to survive”, the state’s governor Morrisey mentioned on a news program.
Attorney general Pam Bondi told a news show that she planned to meet with his relatives.
Legacy of Beckstrom
Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County high school in mid-2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a MP with excellence, according to the West Virginia National Guard.
“She had a lot of kindness and she absolutely had fortitude,” Morrisey informed the audience at the vigil. “Though her life was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to endure.”
