Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, As Part of Regional Retaliatory Strikes.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone close to the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The full scale of any impact is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have intercepted missiles in their air space.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was striking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to revolt against the regime.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a series of missiles," it added.
It said wreckage landed in a neighborhood in the capital, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
