Football Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their weekend football team," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, West Ham secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Considering the home side's home record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
